Since taking command of the château in 1994, Director Alfred Tesseron has shaped Pontet Canet into one of the finest Pauillacs on the market today. Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, this neighbor of Mouton Rothschild has a reputation of matching the quality of the super seconds, and even the First Growths in some vintages! Certified organic in 2010, they use horses in the vineyard and were one of the first Bordeaux chateaux to employ biodynamic farming principles. 2014 was another raving success for Pontet Canet, as the wine is classic Pauillac with sturdy structure and quintessential pencil-lead notes on the nose and palate.
