75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in concrete vats; aged partly in concrete, stainless steel, and French oak, 35% new, for 18 months. On the nose, it shows expressive black cherry aromas with spicy hints derived from the oak treatment. Palate is slightly austere as the fruit retreats into the core of the overall structure; it's a great wine for those looking for a bottle that speaks of a place. Francophiles take note!
