Along the southern shores of Lake Garda, the chalky-clay soils are fertile ground for growing Turbiani (aka Trebbiano di Lugana). This misunderstood varietal is more closely related to Verdicchio than to Trebbiano, despite the shared name. This Lugana is fermented in stainless steel tanks to insure freshness and verve. Pair with risotto, frittata or bruschetta.
